In Starship Troopers Extermination, players go up against monsters that look like spiders. Here is an order of all the enemy types.
Starship Troopers: Extinction is a new cooperative first-person shooter game based on the cult great movie of the same name from 1997. It was made by Offworld Industries.Like the movie, the game puts players in the part of United Citizen Federation soldiers fighting hordes of arachnid enemies on an alien world as they try to complete tasks. Even though the game is still in early access and still being worked on, it has been a hit with series fans.
The arachnid enemies, also called the “bug menace,” are the main threat players will face when they start the game. These bugs come in different sizes and shapes, fight in different ways, and are tough in different ways. Here is a ranking of each arachnid class in Starship Troopers: Extermination, so you can tell them apart and learn how to fight them successfully.
Drone
Ask the Covenant from Halo: every alien army needs a class of people who are just there to get shot. In Starship Troopers, these kinds of enemies are called “drones.” They aren’t very strong against simple gunshots, but they make up for it by being in large numbers. In other words, they are easy to kill, but if there are too many of them, they can quickly become a problem. Drones are also very small and quick, which makes up for the fact that they don’t have armour or life.
Drones are the lowest-level spider enemy in the game right now, so killing them only gives you 1 XP. The good news is that there are always a lot of them running around, so it’s easy to add 1 XP.
Warrior
Warriors are the next class after Drones, but they are a lot stronger. Even though there are less of them than drones at any given time, their anger and good health make up for it. Depending on the weapon and how hard it is, it can take more than a full load to kill a Warrior. This means that you need to work together even if you’re just fighting one. They are easy to tell apart because they are bigger than Drones but smaller than Tiger Elites.
Warriors give only 1 XP per kill, just like Drones, but the player usually kills a lot of them, so they usually make up a big portion of the player’s total XP. Warriors’ swarm tactics can make it harder to revive friends or go after special bugs like Gunners or Plasma Grenadiers. Players should be careful about where they stand and try not to get boxed in by Warriors.
Gunner
Gunner Arachnids are one of only two ranged enemies in the game, and they are very good at what they do. They are the bane of many players’ lives, especially on Veteran level. Gunners will often go after players who like to use the jump jet, especially as a match goes on and things get more dangerous.
They have a bigger body like a crab’s, and in some places it shines a bright fire-red colour. If the player is paying attention, they can also see a Gunner’s line of sight and use that to figure out where it is. This is often the best way to kill an enemy, either by yourself or by alerting friends who are carrying stronger weapons.
Plasma Grenadier
The Plasma Grenadiers are the bug army’s tanks. In fact, they look a lot like Halo’s Wraiths, which were probably inspired by the first Starship Troopers movie. These blue giants are one of the less common enemies in Spacebar Clicker game. They usually only appear at the end of a fight when the spider threat level is at its highest.
Grenadiers are the fastest of the spider enemies, but they make up for it with a plasma mortar attack that can kill multiple players at once. They also do a lot of damage to player defences, refineries, and ARCs. Because of this, it’s best to call them out and deal with them so they don’t get in the way of the task. Grenadiers are easiest to kill with explosives, so keep a rocket or grenade gun on hand.
Tiger Elite
As their name might suggest, the Tiger Elites might be the most dangerous spider force in Starship Troopers: Extinction. Tigers don’t have the Plasma Grenadier’s explosive range, but they are much more agile and will keep hitting defences with their huge spear-like arms until they are killed. Once they are on the ground, they will start hitting things like refineries and ARCs, which they can take out by themselves.
Tigers are easy to spot because they are so big. They look like bigger, meaner Warriors. Their size is almost as big as that of a Plasma Grenadier. When you kill one, you get 50 XP, which is less than when you kill a grenadier, but there are more of them around. Tigers almost always move towards walls, so a good plan would be to mine the area and use grenade launchers and rockets just to be sure.
Starship Troopers: Extermination came out on Steam Early Access on May 17, 2023, and you can only play it on PC right now.
