The islands in Sonic Frontiers have lots of places to go and friends to save.
With the Starfall Islands’ five huge places, Sonic Frontiers was the first game in the Sonic series to have an open-world style. Each of these places is different from the others and has its own problems to solve.
All of the Starfall Islands have music, obstacles, puzzles, and foes that are unique to that island. We ranked the islands based on how often you can play them, the general puzzles, the bosses, and the amount of detail in the environment.
Rhea Island

Out of all the Starfall Islands, Rhea Island has the least amount of things to do. On this island, the goal is to clear the platforms on six different towers. As soon as Sonic gets to the top of the tower, it needs to be turned off. After Sonic finishes each tower, the world will be clean, and he will go to the last island. Since Rhea is the second-to-last island, the time between it and the last island seems too short.
Some of the best platforming parts of the game are in the towers, but there aren’t many different enemies here. Also, there are no bosses, stages, or other things like that on Rhea Island. Both Kronos Island and Ouranos Island come to mind when I look at the land and the island itself. Rhea Island is the worst place in Sonic Frontiers because, compared to the other islands, it doesn’t have much going for it.
Ouranos Island

Ouranos Island has a lot of new and interesting ideas, but it doesn’t feel interesting because it looks and feels so much like Kronos Island. This island is the last one you will visit before facing the final boss. Ouranos Island is different from every other island in the game because it has wrecks all over the place. Even though it was fun to explore, the platforming was not as good as it was on the other Starfall Islands.
Ouranos, unlike Rhea Island, has stages and a lot more things to do: Ouranos Island has Chaos Emeralds, bosses, and minigames, but it felt like more of the same. In general, this island seemed too much like Kronos.
Kronos Island

In Sonic Frontiers, Kronos Island is the first island you can visit. This island is a great way to start the game because it has great tasks, beautiful views, and enemies. Kronos has a big grassy area where you can see and feel what an open-world Sonic game looks and feels like. There are better islands, but Kronos Island sets the mood for Sonic Frontiers perfectly and is a great way to start the game.
Kronos Island has seven different Cyberspace stages and more than one Chaos Emerald Vault. Also, all of the boss fights on Kronos Island are a lot of fun. They all teach Sonic new ways to play and show him new moves that are hard to stop. Super Sonic is also a part of the end battle for this island, which makes it a huge fight.
Ares Island

Some of the best parts of the game happen on Ares Island. On the island, there is a kind of desert made up of sand dunes and deep valleys. Right away, Sonic is able to grab onto the tail of a Shark as it speeds through the sand. This is one of the four guards you have to beat before you can get a new Chaos Emerald.
There are great platforming parts on Ares Island that are right up there with the best parts of the game. The enemy variety is by far the best part of the game. There are a lot of new enemy types and different ways to beat them. Ares Island is a great follow-up to Kronos Island because it improves on Flappy Bird game concepts learned there.
Chaos Island

Chaos Island starts right away, and you have to save Tails. You do this by fighting bosses, getting Chaos Emeralds, and other things. In the first fight of this quest for Tails, Sonic races away from a Titan in a beautiful set piece. But this Titan has a huge saw blade that keeps getting closer and closer as the show goes on.
Chaos Island is also just set in a beautiful place. The island is a barren wasteland, and in the distance, you can see a volcano spewing fire. The last boss on this island is in the middle of a hole where lava is leaking out of the cracks. The last Titan fight on Chaos Island is a masterpiece, and the Super Sonic scene is especially memorable. Chaos Island, which is well-known among fans, even has a mini-game called “Pinball” that you can play.
